Grameen Shikkha-IDKIDS Non-Formal Slum School Project (2025)

The Grameen Shikkha-IDKIDS Non-Formal Slum School Project funded by the WE ACT FOR KIDS FOUNDATION of France is providing non-formal primary education to 790 slum children in Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation. Approved by the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh Government and with a yearly budget of BDT 67.71 lacs in the year 2025, the project will provide primary education at 16 Grameen Shikkha run slum school (grade-1, 2, 3 and 4) centers each with two shifts – morning and afternoon, i.e. in a total of 32 shifts. Project activities are supervised from the local Grameen Shikkha office in Section-10, Mirpur. Text books for this school is supplied free of cost by the Directorate of Primary Education under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education of Bangladesh Government.
