Donors and Partners

GS worked and has been working with different national and international and donors and partners in its different programs. Major partners have been:

 

  1. UNICEF Bangladesh: Unicef has provided financial and technical support in Early Childhood Care and Development interventions since 2001. It also collaborated with GS in the latter’s Arsenic Mitigation Program.
  2. Plan International: Plan has provided financial and technical support in GS’s Early Childhood Care and Development interventions from 2002 to 2010.
  3. UNESCO: UNESCO assist GS in the latter’s Life Oriented Education Program (a non-formal functional basic literacy program for poor rural women) from 1997 to 1999.
  4. C&A Foundation: C&A was a long term partner of GS since -- from 2004 to 2020, assisting in the Arsenic Mitigation Program, Non-formal Primary Schools for Slum Children program and the Vocational Training Program of GS.
  5. Rockdale Foundation: Rockdale provided financial assistance to GS’s Life Oriented Education Program and Pre-school program from 2001 to 2003.
  6. Rotary Bangladesh: Rotary Bangladesh worked with GS in Arsenic Mitigation Program.
  7. Grameen Foundation (GF): GF has been a partner of GS in the latter’s Scholarship Management Program. GF has been sponsoring about 250 scholarships.
  8. Bangladesh Shishu (Children) Academy (BSA): An agency of Ministry of Women & Children’s Affairs, Government of Bangladesh, BSA has been a partner of GS in its ECCD activities.
  9. IDKIDS Foundation, France: IDKIDS has been financing a pre-school program in Singair, Manikganj since 2010 under GS management. It is also a partner in the Non-formal Primary Schools for Slum Children program of GS since 2014.
  10. Shamdasani Foundation, Hong Kong: The Shamdasani Foundation is financing slum schools of Grameen Shikkha and sponsoring scholarships under GS scholarship management program.
  11. Professors David and Kathee Jordan, USA: They are financing slum schools of Grameen Shikkha.
  12. Ms. Celine Delacharlerie: She is fanancing slum schools of Grameen Shikkha and also financed an emregency humanitatian support program for COVID affaected people in Bangladesh.
  13. The YY Foundation, Germany: The Foundation is financing slum schools on behalf of Rotary Rhein-Main Wiesbaden.
  14. GSRD Foundation: The Foundation is sponsoring school and higher education scholarships since 2009. It finaned a special vocational training project for nearly 1,100 youths in 2021 to address unemployment due to COVID-19 and is currently financing the regular vocational training program of Grameen Shikkha from 2022 to train nearly 1,200 young people every year.
  15. Tesco Foundation: Since December 2018 Tesco is sponsoring a scholarship program for children of workers of its local supplier garment factories in Bangladesh. Currently a total of 300 students studying in high school, college and university are receiving financial support under this program.
