The Grameen Shikkha-IDKIDS Non-Formal Slum School Project-1 funded by IDKIDS Community Foundation, France is providing non-formal primary education to 200 slum children in Section 11, 12 and 13 in Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation. Approved by the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh Government and with a yearly budget of BDT 20.05 lacs in the year 2022 the project will provide grade-4 primary education at five Grameen Shikkha-IDKIDS Slum Schools in two shifts – morning and afternoon, each shift with 20 students (200 students in 10 shifts). Project activities are supervised from the local Grameen Shikkha office in Section-10, Mirpur. Text books for this school is supplied free of cost by the Directorate of Primary Education under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education of Bangladesh Government.
