Grameen Shikkha-Be the Planet Slum School Project (2025)
The Grameen Shikkha-Be the Planet Slum School Project is funded by Be the Planet Foundation, Netherlands is providing non-formal primary education to 50 slum children in Section 11 in Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation. Approved by the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh Government and with a yearly budget of BDT 1.90 lacs in the year 2025 the project will provide grade-1 primary education at the Be the Planet Slum School in two shifts – morning and afternoon, each shift with 25 students (50 students in 2 shifts). Students will receive grade 5 education over a period of five years. Project activities are supervised from the local Grameen Shikkha office in Section-10, Mirpur. Text books for this school is supplied free of cost by the Directorate of Primary Education under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education of Bangladesh Government.
