We Shall Overcome Scholarship Project
The We Shall Overcome Scholarship Project, funded by Ms. Claire Haiden of USA and her friends, is a new project that isproviding financial support to 25 poor slum girlsfrom Sections 10 and 11 of Mirpur who are studying in grade-7 in 2023 at three local high schools in Mirpur under Dhaka North City Corporation. The project is approved by the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh Government and has a budget of BDT 1.94 lacs for the year 2023. Project activities are supervised from the local GrameenShikkha office in Section-10, Mirpur. Objective of the project is to assist these students complete secondary education and advance toward higher education. Students are receiving education under the mainstream education system of Bangladesh under the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh Government.
