Early Learning for Child Development (ELCD)
In collaboration with Unicef Bangladesh and Bangladesh Shishu Academy, this project consists of ECCD interventions like Parenting and Caregiving Education, Child Development Center, Pre-school, and ECCD Advocacy and Training. The program started in 2001. Advocacy/orientation workshops are conducted in different districts of Dhaka and Chittagong Divisions of the country and pre-schools and care giving training are conducted in Dhaka City Corporation and Manikganj and Sherpur districts. Currently there are 470 pre-schools in Dhaka City, Singair sub-district of Manikganj district, and Sherpur and Nakla sub-districts of Sherpur district. Last phase of the program ended in December 2017 for a new phase to start.
